Terms of Service
Last updated October 17, 2026
1. Agreeing to these Terms
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Tuna TV ("Tuna TV", "we", "us") about your use of the Tuna TV website at tuna.tv and the Tuna TV apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and Android TV (together, "Tuna TV").
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Tuna TV, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Tuna TV.
2. Tuna TV is a player only
Tuna TV is software for playing media. It does not include, provide, sell, host, stream from its own sources, index or link to any channels, films, shows or other content. It comes with no playlists, and we don't recommend, endorse or arrange any content providers.
Tuna TV isn't connected with, sponsored by or endorsed by any IPTV provider, broadcaster, sports league or rights holder. Names, artwork, schedules and other information shown in Tuna TV come from your provider or from the third-party services described below.
3. Your provider and what you watch
To watch anything, you add a subscription, login or playlist from a provider you choose. You are solely responsible for:
- choosing your provider, and any agreement or payment between you and them;
- making sure you have the right to access and watch everything you play with Tuna TV, under the laws where you are;
- keeping the details of your provider account safe.
You must not use Tuna TV to watch, record, share or otherwise use content you don't have the right to. We don't review, monitor or control what you play, and we aren't responsible for it.
4. Your account
You need an account to use Tuna TV. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to agree to these Terms where you live if that's higher. Please give a real email address and keep your password to yourself: you're responsible for what happens on your account.
An account can have several profiles and be signed in on a number of devices. The account holder is responsible for the profiles on it, including kids profiles and the parental controls set for them.
5. Using Tuna TV properly
When you use Tuna TV, you agree not to:
- use it to break any law or anyone's rights, including copyright;
- get around the website's video limit, the device limit, or any other limit or protection in Tuna TV;
- use our servers (including the streaming proxy) for anything other than playing your own content in Tuna TV, or overload, scrape or attack them;
- copy, sell, rent or redistribute Tuna TV, or make it available to others as a service;
- post anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexual, threatening or spam in live chat, or pretend to be someone else.
6. Live chat
Live chat during games is for friendly conversation. Messages are visible to other people watching. You can report and block other people, and we may remove messages, limit chat, or suspend accounts that break these Terms. Live chat is off by default for kids profiles.
7. The website's video limit
Some streams can't be opened by a browser directly and are played on the website through Tuna TV's servers. That video is limited per account each month (currently 5 GB) and starts again at the beginning of each month. Streams your browser plays directly from your provider aren't counted. The apps play from your own connection and aren't limited. We may change these limits.
8. Other services
Tuna TV uses or connects to services run by others, such as film and TV information and artwork (The Movie Database), sports results and schedules, subtitle libraries, and the addons you choose to switch on (like Trakt, Stremio addons and ntfy), and casting to devices like Chromecast and AirPlay. This product uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply when you use them. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them, and they may change or stop working at any time.
9. Copyright notices
Tuna TV doesn't host content, but if you believe Tuna TV itself, or something shown on tuna.tv, infringes your rights, email support@tuna.tv with the details. We'll look into every notice, and we close the accounts of people who repeatedly use Tuna TV to infringe.
10. The software
We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use Tuna TV for your own non-commercial use under these Terms. Tuna TV, its name, logo and design belong to us and our licensors; these Terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using Tuna TV.
The apps update themselves to keep working well and safely. Some features may need the latest version.
11. Your information
To run Tuna TV we store your account details and what you set up in it: your profiles, the provider details you add, favourites, watch progress, reminders, devices and settings, so they follow you from device to device. Recordings and downloads stay on your own device. We don't sell your information. Video limits on the website are measured per account.
12. Changes to Tuna TV
We're always working on Tuna TV, so features may be added, changed or removed, and it may sometimes be unavailable. We may also suspend or stop offering Tuna TV, in whole or in part.
13. No warranties
Tuna TV is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties of any kind, including that Tuna TV will work with your provider or device, be uninterrupted or error-free, or be fit for a particular purpose. We don't guarantee any content will play.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Tuna TV won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or content, arising from your use of Tuna TV or your provider. Our total liability for any claim about Tuna TV is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or 50 US dollars.
Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have that can't be limited by law.
15. If someone makes a claim because of how you used Tuna TV
You agree to cover Tuna TV for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from content you play, record or share with Tuna TV, from your provider, or from you breaking these Terms or the law.
16. Ending your use
You can stop using Tuna TV at any time. To delete your account and its information, email support@tuna.tv. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put Tuna TV, other people or us at risk. Sections 2, 3 and 13 to 18 continue after your use ends.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll let you know in Tuna TV or by email. Using Tuna TV after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where Tuna TV is operated from, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live says otherwise. If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Tuna TV.
