Questions and answers
What Tuna TV is, what you need to use it, and how the plans work.
Does Tuna TV come with channels, films or shows?
No. Tuna TV is a player only. It doesn't include, sell, host or link to any channels, films, shows or other content, and it isn't connected with any provider.
To watch anything, you add a subscription or playlist from a provider you choose, and Tuna TV plays it.
What do I need to use it?
A subscription or playlist from an IPTV provider: an Xtream Codes login or an M3U / M3U8 playlist address. A TV guide (XMLTV) is optional; Tuna TV can also find guides for many channels by itself.
How much does Tuna TV cost?
$3.99 a month, $14.99 a year, or $39.99 once for lifetime access ($24.99 for founders, while Tuna TV is new). Every plan includes everything Tuna TV does, on all your devices.
Does a plan include channels?
No. A plan pays for the Tuna TV player and nothing else. You still bring your own subscription or playlist from a provider you choose.
Is it legal to use Tuna TV?
Tuna TV is a media player, like any other video player. We do not provide any streams or links to illegal streams, only use it with content you have the right to watch. The Terms of Service explain this in full.
What's the difference between the website and the app?
The website plays most streams right in your browser. Streams a browser can't open by itself go through Tuna TV's servers, and those are limited to 5 GB of video per account each month.
The app plays everything from your own connection with no limit, and adds recordings and downloads, more video formats, casting to Chromecasts and smart TVs, and running in the background.
Can I use it on my TV?
Yes: there's an app for Android TV that works with its remote, and you can cast from any device to a Chromecast, a smart TV or an AirPlay TV.
Can my family use it too?
Yes. Everyone gets their own profile, with their own picks, favourites, settings and recordings. Kids profiles and PINs keep things suitable, and one account works on up to 50 devices.
Can I cancel a monthly or yearly plan?
Yes, any time. You keep everything until the end of the month or year you've paid for, and it doesn't renew after that.
What does lifetime mean?
One payment, and Tuna TV is yours for as long as it's around, with every update. It never renews and there's nothing more to pay.
What's the founders price?
Lifetime is $39.99. While Tuna TV is new, the first people to buy it pay $24.99 instead, and keep everything lifetime includes for good.
Bring your channels. We'll make them look good.
Your provider, your profiles, every screen.
